A roar of life, gears meshing and blood flowing
Torn vinyl barely containing excitement
An old aroma, of wistful freedom
"
Is this what it's like to drive again?"
She thought, as life roared into her once again after all these years

A weekend or so ago, my friend and I decided the time was right to recreate a photograph we had taken two years prior. I had just gotten my license, and my father made good on a promise; he'd get my 79 Firebird (named Lucy by the previous owner) running for me. Little did I know it was going to be on my birthday.

Early this year I sold Lucy, and I'll admit it felt weird seeing some other guy drive off in my first car. Good news is, he's a great guy and is keeping me updated on the restoration process. A lot can happen in two years, but I'm going to spare you the cliches. ;) Let's just simplify it to
life happened
. I do still miss the 'bird, even if the 301 2bbl is a complete boat anchor; thankfully though, my 98 Mustang GT has filled the empty spot (with a 5 speed too!)
Here are some more pictures from this past weekend.
As always, thanks for reading! (Also, I apologize if my writing at the beginning there was overly corny lolol)

That Trans Am needs a Mach 1 chin.

That LX kicks ass. If it were a Notchback, I'd do bad things for it.

I guess my friend and I are weirdos, we like the hatchbacks much more than the Notches. Though I'm starting to warm up to them.

Why thank you! And I swear, we didn't coordinate on a blue and white scheme for both of our cars, that sorta happened..

I love the Hatch only SVO, Bubbleback Capri and 82 GT.
You're not weirdos. They sold way more Hatch Stangs than Notchbacks.

Ohhh yes Bubbleback capri. I would do many questionable things for one of those.
So that'd explain why they're more desirable now.
